A celebration of new beginnings.
Nothing is too small to make a difference — it’s all about seeing and believing in potential. reBynd was inspired by our parent company Bynd Artisan’s efforts in reducing wastes and environmental impact. The desire to be part of the solution turned into a vision that became reBynd, where we implement circular-economy processes. What resulted is a collection of well-crafted, sustainably made products using recycled, upcycled and renewable raw materials.
reBynd products are designed with simplicity, versatility, functionality and timeless style in mind, so they will be used more and in multiple ways as we encourage customers to move away from temporary trends towards more considered and enduring daily essentials. We are still at the beginning of our sustainability journey, and we are not perfect, but we’re learning and evolving every day, exploring new ideas and responsible practices to make beautiful things with minimal waste and environmental impact, and to inspire customers to make better, kinder choices.
reBynd is a member of “1% for the Planet” as part of our commitment to the cause, a pledge to dedicate 1% of annual sales to environmental causes.
Material
In the making of products to packaging materials, reBynd works with like-minded partners and suppliers from Germany, Italy, Australia and Japan, using bonded leather made of OEKO-TEX Leather Standard-certified genuine-leather fibres with no added cellulose, PU or textile fibres, FSC-certified paper made from 40% post-consumer wastes and 25% recycled leather residues, FSC-certified Kraft paper packaging made from 100% recycled paper, and eco-friendly plastic snap fasteners that does not emit hazardous gas when burned.
Upcycling
Upcycling is an integral part of reBynd’s mission. The “re” in reBynd is representative of our commitment to repurpose, reimagine, recycle and renew the use of materials. In addition to using upcycled materials in our products, our packaging has also been considered and designed so each part can be upcycled and repurposed by customers. For example, the Kraft bag, which comes in three sizes with a top handle, may fulfil a second life as a shopper tote, storage for letters and magazines, or your own “collection station" for the week’s recyclables. In our efforts to minimise waste and our environmental impact, we’ll continue to explore new and creative ways of upcycling and repurposing materials. #BeKindreBynd
